Independent review / clear boundaries
canXcer separates qualified independent review from an author’s own attestation and from an administrator’s operational override. Each record says who reviewed what, under which category, and which exact version was in scope.
Three different records
A separately accountable, active validator reviews an immutable version within an administrator-approved category and assignment.
Author self-attestation — not independently validated. The author states what they checked, with rationale and limitations, without claiming outside review.
Administrative override — independent validation has not occurred. A documented operational decision may permit a defined provisional step but cannot impersonate a validator.
Qualification before access
A personal relationship is not a qualification. A third-party nominee must provide professional affiliation, relevant experience, qualifications, requested category, relationship to the project, and conflict information. An administrator reviews that record before activation or assignment.
Validators acknowledge confidentiality and data-handling rules. Their authority is limited to approved categories such as scientific methods, technical reproducibility, source rights, privacy, result interpretation, or export audit manifests.
How independent validation works
A canXcer validation is limited to its recorded scope. It does not replace clinical judgment, physical laboratory confirmation, institutional review, peer review, regulatory evaluation, or professional medical advice. A validated method or package does not automatically validate every result produced from it.
Questions and answers
A validator is a separately accountable person whose relevant experience, affiliation, qualifications, and permitted review categories have been recorded and approved by a canXcer administrator.
An author may record a self-attestation where a workflow permits it, but it is labeled as author self-attestation and is never represented as independent validation.
You may nominate a third party, but their professional affiliation, relevant experience, qualifications, relationship, and conflicts must be disclosed. canXcer must approve and assign them before access begins.
No. Validation records a qualified reviewer’s decision about a defined scope and exact version. It is not medical advice, regulatory approval, clinical certification, peer review, or a guarantee that a conclusion is correct.
A decision remains attached to the version reviewed. A material revision is a different review target and must be submitted for validation again.
An administrator can revoke or ban future authority, but canXcer preserves prior assignments and decisions for accountability. Removing a ban leaves the person revoked until a separate qualification review and activation occurs.
