A question can begin anywhere
Lived experience can reveal a neglected question or a barrier to participating in research. In the live Village, a verified contributor can save a private draft, choose a visibility preference, consent separately to processing and publication, submit it for moderation, or withdraw it.
Publication does not make a question evidence. Approved researchers and administrators can explicitly create a new private project from one exact published revision; the provenance link is preserved, while popularity, participation, and funding stay outside the research record.
Protect people before collecting stories
The Village rejects contact details, credentials, medical-record identifiers, genetic-file references, and financial-account information from contribution fields. It is not a place for identifiable patient stories, diagnosis, treatment advice, sample uploads, or clinical-trial recruitment.
Append-only consent and audit events, scoped roles, rate limits, reporting, Village-only blocks, withdrawal paths, safe public projections, and moderator queues govern the live workflow. Retained history is not silently erased when a contributor withdraws.
What visitors can do now
Anyone can inspect published questions, approved representation-gap records, open non-clinical opportunities, and owner-approved funding campaigns. Verified accounts can use the contributor dashboard. Funding-interest statements are explicitly nonbinding unless and until a separate verified payment integration exists; no card or bank data is collected.
